None other than the high-flying, hard-hitting sensation—El Grande Americano.
The path to this confrontation began after American Made, fresh from a contentious victory over the Latino World Order, was in the limelight. Following a win—partly due to some dubious strategies by El Grande Rey Mysterio—El Grande Americano did not waste time. The all-time great luchador wasted no time at all in calling Raw GM Adam Pearce, requesting a place on WrestleMania. Pearce had no hesitation, signing the bout for the biggest show of the year in record time.

Tensions reached a boiling point throughout the match—particularly when El Grande Rey Mysterio, much to everyone’s surprise, used dirty tricks to assist American Made in clinching the victory.
This contentious win was not well received by many, including El Grande Americano, who did not hesitate to call for a bout with Mysterio.
The old-school luchador, a name that embodies respect, honor, and lucha libre heritage, wasn’t going to let Mysterio’s shenanigans pass. He immediately reached out to Raw GM Adam Pearce to make his intentions known: He wanted Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 41. And Pearce, being the entrepreneur that he is, sensed the potential for fireworks and quickly signed the match.
